Before there was a network, there was a family. And a woman who refused to let her sisters settle.
She was looking at her family, and she was saddened by what she saw. Girls dropping out of school. Sisters settling. Potential quietly dying. She took it to God more as a complaint than a prayer. And God answered with a question that changed everything: What are you doing about it?
In 2013, she called her sisters, cousins, and some parents. She explained a vision she could barely put into words. By God’s grace, they said yes. That weekend at home, Sisters with Purpose was born. No stage. No programme. Just women sitting together, discovering who they already were. That is still the heartbeat of everything
In 2018, Sister K lost her daughter. Not her faith, but her urgency shifted. She realised she did not have forever. She left her corporate career and said yes, fully this time, to the calling God had placed on her life years before. The Foundation was registered in 2020. The network you see today was built from that surrender.
From one family gathering to a registered non-profit. From one book to sixteen. From one sisterhood to a network of women across Africa. Sister K did not build this alone. Every jewel who said yes, every woman who showed up, every sister who poured in- they built this together. And it is not finished yet.
